On 5th May 2018 the Aldwyck Housing Group electrical team ‘CONNECT’ attended Flat 6 Aldwyck Court and issued False Electric Safety Certificates to state that the property was safe. The electric sockets, wiring installation and main fuse box were not serviced or fixed and the Mains Fuse socket was Not Signed, which is a process that must be followed by any NICEIC engineer, but instead Edward Ogundele the Aldwyck Housing Group manager continued to place Mr Foenander’s life at risk of death while he is now suffering from life long medical conditions and his companion dog, Oscar has sadly passed away without finishing the treatment he needed to become well again.

During 2018 to 2019 the electric appliances in Flat 6 Aldwyck Court, Hemel Hempstead, including the cooker, fridge, and heaters started to smoke from the main sockets they were plugged into. If Mr Foenander had not been quick and constantly aware of the danger, he could have easily died in a Grenfell Type Fire Disaster.

Radon Gas was also detected in the kitchen by the EHO but she did not have the equipment to check for this on the day she attended to do her checks. Dawn Ryder (EHO) then refused to return to complete the urgent checks required for Mr Foenander’s complaints to be upheld for him and his dog to be moved. as she had not completed her checks correctly.

The local Fire Brigade attended the property on at least three occasions, on one occasion Mr Foenander had to be treated by paramedics and attend hospital to be treated, but the local Fire Brigade were unable to detect the leaking radon gas in the Flat as they did not have the correct equipment to detect for any gas leaks other than natural gas, which the property did not have installed.
When Mr Foenander took occupancy of Flat 6 Aldwyck Court Hemel Hempstead, he was 14 stone, his normal and healthy weight. In less than 5 months he lost nearly 3 stone and struggled to keep weight on, weighing in at less than 11 stone on the day of eviction, while suffering from Radiation Sickness that he is still waiting for treatment for.
